Special Keys and Key Combinations within AMS

| (Accent Key) |
This key located right next to the number 1 allows you to switch activity between the top, menu part of the screen and the bottom, data entry part of the screen. The accent key also closes any pop-open or pull-down windows.

| PF3 |
Lookup. When a list of appropriate entries is available, this key opens a window listing them. PF3 works only when the cursor is in a field where the lookup is available. Help (PF1) will indicate if you can use PF3 lookup for the current field.

| Enter |
The enter key should be used when finished entering information in a field so that the information can be saved and validated.

| Up arrow |
Moves the cursor to the closest field above. Using the up arrow key does not validate or save information in the field.

| Down arrow |
Moves the cursor to the closest field below. Using the down arrow key does not validate or save information in the field.
|
| Left and right arrows |
Moves the cursor left and right within a field. Using the left and right arrow keys does not validate or save information in the field.

| (SHIFT-6) |
This option moves the cursor to the pervious field. Using this option does not validate or save the information within a field.
|
| Ctrl-F |
Erases the contents of the current field and moves the cursor to the beginning of the field. This method should be used to erase information rather than spacing over it to be sure that both printing and non-printing characters are erased.

| Ctrl-E |
From any function screen menu (the top of any function screen), Ctrl-E takes you directly back to the main menu.
