A message from the President - April 2006

Making Flagship a more attractive partner

Rockville, MD, April 2, 2006

This year Flagship celebrates its 20th anniversary as the service provider and software house for the global shipping industry. Among other things, we can look back on two decades of innovations designed to keep our customers satisfied and make Flagship more attractive to them - from one of the first to make communication part of our software solution to the first trade partner transferring data to US Customs a few minutes into year 2000 for Y2K compliance.

One of our main goals has always been to minimize the cost of IT-solutions for our customers, provide skilled personnel and providing reliable operational availability. Flagship has a history of developing solutions, in time, to meet our customers need for exchanging data with their partners and authorities. After September 11, 2001 we complied with all the new demands for communication with the "new" U.S. Customs and Boarder Protection (CBP)and made our customers more efficient.

Twenty years ago the company was founded by people from the Shipping Industry and the IT Industry, Wilh. Wilhelmsen - a leading Norwegian ship-owner and people from General Electric Information Service, based in Rockville, MD. Over the years different shareholders and board of directors have maintained the strong relationship to the industry and skills in global and domestic transportation.

Lasse V. Syversen, President
Flagship by Bloksberg Inc

In 2000 the company became a part of the Bloksberg group and focused even more on serving the shipping operations and Customs clearance. During this time the group gave opportunities to some of their employees to establish new business development in electronic data interchange (EDI) - today known as Corvedia Inc (Flagship is holding 15% of the shares).

In 2002 the company moved their computer and development center to Apollo, PA and directed, once more, the focus on reliable and secure operations with extremely dedicated people to serve our customers 24/7/365.

Flagship's extended family includes the best partners in user organizations (e.g. for ocean and rail), officials and providers of the best technology. Our systems are user-friendly and have been based on multiple UNIX and Widows platforms using MSM and Cache from InterSystems Corporation - a partner to Flagship for all this years.

In our 20th year of operation we are launching a complete solution for Canada - a demand from our existing and new customers. Two new products will be operational this spring, Canada*ACI and Canada*Rail. More new products will follow during the year for other shipping lines.

We are currently working on expanding our technology platform and making the software more user-friendly by using web technology and more efficient development tools. We will also implement new communication protocols to meet the demand from the CBP.

I would take this opportunity to thank all our customers, partners and employees for contributing to our success and we will promise to continue to work hard to maintain our position as the most attractive company for all of you.
