Port Reconstruction Status

The following is a summary of the status of waterways within the Captain of the Port, Port Arthur area of responsibility.

I. The Gulf Intracostal Waterway: Unrestricted for shallow draft tow and lite tug traffic operating in the entire area of the Port Arthur Captain of the Port zone from ICWW mile 170 to ICWW mile 319, 24 hours.

II. The Sabine/Neches Waterway:
A. Shallow draft tows and lite tugs, unrestricted, 24 hours.
B. Larger vessels are restricted to maximum 38 feet, daylight transits only.

III. Neches River:
A. Shallow draft tows and lite tugs, unrestricted, 24 hours.
B. Larger vessels are restricted to maximum 38 feet, daylight transits only.
IV. Calcasieu River:
A. Shallow draft tows and lite tugs are unrestricted, 24 hours.
B. Larger vessels up to project depth (40’) restricted daylight transits only.
