Chamber of Commerce – National Website to be developed
by Andersen Communications and Flagship by Bloksberg

Lasse V. Syversen, President of
Flagship by Bloksberg Inc a company based in Maryland
and with a development and operations center in Apollo,
PA, announced today that Norwegian-American Chamber
of Commerce has signed an agreement to develop their
National Website using Flagship’s long experience
in using Microsoft’s Commerce Server. The agreement
is based on a new partnership between Andersen Communications,
located in Perkasie, PA and Flagship.
The Norwegian-American Chamber of
Commerce consists of Chapters all over United States
and with their National Headquarter in New York City,
NY. With their more than 10 local chapters, the new
National Website will be a major promotion for the
traditional relationship between United States and
Norway using new technology to promote the chamber.
Roy D. Andersen, Creative Director
of Andersen Communication states the importance of
teaming up the best of design and technical implementation
of such a large project with so may people involved
and expected large volume of traffic in many states
and cross the Atlantic. The cooperation between Andersen
and Flagship is a direct result of the networking
within the Chamber in previous projects.
The two companies will be using
their team of developers in PA, MD and Canada. The
project is expected to be completed early 2006.
The website will be utilizing the
following technologies: Microsoft Active Server Pages
(ASP), Internet Information Server (IIS), SQL Server
Database application and Site Server/Commerce Server.
Development will be done using Macromedia Dreamweaver,
Adobe Photoshop and other web development tools. Client
side technologies to be used are HTML, Javascript
(for dynamic HTML), Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) and
Flash.
In making the announcement, Mr.
Syversen noted that The Norwegian-American Chamber
of Commerce and their members has demonstrated forward
thinking in their efforts to reduce paper based communication
and to use modern technology to attract new members
and a market focusing on the trade between Norway
and The United States.
