Flagship Update
We have made some changes to the B/L Quick Lookup
screen. Under the EFLAGS column, you will notice that
the “AMENDS” field has been removed and
replaced with “DEPARTURE”. This change
has been made to reflect if the vessel departure has
been filed or not. Also, this should eliminate the
confusion of the “ARRIVAL” field showing
“arrived” when the vessel departure has
been submitted but the vessel itself was not arrived
through AMS.

Tips
We have received many questions regarding entries
not being seen until after the vessel is arrived through
AMS, though some entries are received in AMS prior
to the vessel being arrived. According to CBP, there
is a 5 day window that entries may be filed and received
through AMS prior to arrival. This five day window
is determined from the Estimated Date of Arrival.
For example, if the EDA is 10/10/04, entries filed
between 10/05/04 and 10/09/04 should be processed
and seen in AMS. However, if the entries are made
prior to 10/05, you will not see those entries until
10/05 at the earliest. Entries made from 10/09 or
later would not be seen until the vessel as been arrived
in AMS.
