Dear All, This week I would
like to address a common question from our customers:
SHIPS*AMS
Q: How can I amend the Bill of Lading
number on a Manifest?
A: Once the manifest has been submitted
to Customs, you cannot amend the Bill of Lading number.
In fact, you cannot amend any information on the “Vessel
Voyage Select Page” or the “Vessel Voyage
Details Page”. In this instance, you would need
to delete the manifest from customs. After receiving
a response from customs (you can check this simply
by performing a B/L lookup. You will see “(deleted)”
next to the Bill of Lading number), you then will
transfer the manifest data under the “Create
Manifest Data” option. At this point, you would
simply choose how you would like to transfer the information,
input all of the data required, and re-submit the
manifest.
